We’ve always wondered why models still look great even though it’s the just-got-out-of-bed look or their everyday street style that they’re sporting. Even if they come out of their homes with messy hair, a plain white tee, and jeans, they look like they stepped out of a magazine ad or from the catwalk.
Is it because they’re wearing designer t-shirts? Is it because they look good in anything? Or is it because they use those styling tricks advised by fashion editors worldwide?
Why don’t you try some of these styling tricks on your everyday wear and own that catwalk!
Push-up that Jacket Sleeve
If you’re wearing a long sleeved jacket, blazer or sweater, pushing them up adds an oomph to your usual look. If it keeps falling down throughout the day, use a hair tie or rubber band on a part of your arm that’s comfortable. Don’t forget to hide it though.
Jenna Lyons Sleeves
If you feel that you need to secure those sleeves, try the Jenna Lyons sleeve roll. It has a more edgy look and its less sloppy than just rolling up your sleeves.
The Half-Shirt Tuck
You don’t want to look to formal but not too casual either. So tuck your shirt in front, but let it all loose at the back. You will achieve this I’m-too-cool for work look.
Editor Shirt Tuck
So you want to show off your waist, but you don’t want it to look very formal and prim. What you can do is to only tuck half of your front shirt. Look at the wow effect it can give you.
Jean Roll
Everyone’s favorite, the jean roll. Just roll up those jeans and instantly make a statement.
